During the Corona pandemic, several people were found not wearing face masks everywhere. Considering the need of the hour, we have developed an automated system that detects face masks on its own. It can be integrated with hardware to create an automated system which can be used by:
Our experiment was performed using approximately 1,376 images of faces with and without masks. 90% of the images were used for training purposes and 10% of the dataset was used for testing purposes. After post-processing, the system generates models with a consistent level of accuracy. The model with the highest accuracy, which was 90%, was used for further processing.
